As with all other products, it’s also essential that you mind the ingredient list when it comes to choosing your daily cleanser.  Harsh chemicals can disrupt your skin’s barrier and natural balance, which can lead to reactions such as irritation, dryness, and impurities. How do I use my cleanser?   

Daily Foaming Cleanser: Apply to damp skin, gently massage, and rinse with water. Use AM and PM.  

Cleansing Balm: Apply to damp skin. Let the product gently dissolve make-up, then massage the product into the skin, and end the treatment by rinsing with warm water. Use AM and PM independently or in your double cleansing PM routine.  

Why cleanse? 

During the day, the skin is exposed to numerous damaging factors such as pollution, dirt, and harmful bacteria which can build up on the skin and cause impurities and irritations, if they get to thrive on the skin.    With a daily, thorough cleanse, you can prevent these reactions, as a facial cleanser will remove these build-ups effectively while keeping the skin clean and fresh. This step therefore serves an essential purpose in your skincare routine if you wish to keep your skin balanced and with a healthy and glowing surface. 

How often should I cleanse my face? 

When it comes to facial cleansers, more does not always equate better. Cleansing once daily is sufficient for most skin types. However, if you’re dealing with impurities, acne, or have an oily skin type, it can be beneficial to cleanse twice daily.    You should also avoid cleansing your skin too often, as this can stimulate the skin’s natural oil production and therefore cause an overproduction of oil, which can lead to impurities and clogged pores. 

What is a double cleansing? 

A double cleansing is a two-step procedure that you can perform in your PM skincare routine for an extra-effective cleansing ritual – or when your skin simply deserves some extra indulgence.    First, remove make up, bacterial build-up, and excess SPF with an oil-based cleanser, such as our Cleansing Balm, and cleanse the skin afterwards with your water-based cleanser, such as Daily Foaming Cleanser, to fulfill your thorough cleansing ritual.
